Dye Acrylic Yarn

HodgePodge Crochet Dye Acrylic Yarn

I’ve been excited thinking of dying my acrylic yarn and tried it immediately on a finished knitted summer top.
Unfortunately I must have had the wrong acrylic paint because it washed out completely.
But after drying the summer top looked amazing: light coloured in the center and getting darker at neck and hem.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture.
Well, I will try it again and then I’ll try to think of taking pictures ;-)

Ehm, and then I can also try again colouring fabric with acrylic paint ;-)

  1. I’m not sure why your paint didn’t set and washed out. Once it’s dry it should be permanent. Acrylic paints aren’t made to be washable out of fabric (my kids have ruined more clothing than I care to admit with it!!)

I hope a second attempt will work better for you!
