Crocheted Paisleys

Crocheted Paisleys

Yesterday I presented a tutorial on Bead embroidered Paisleys. If you like Paisleys too but look for another technique to create them try Crocheted Paisleys Crocheted Paisleys.
One day I will make a shawl by crocheting lots and lots of those Paisleys and sewing them together!

Beaded Paisleys

I love bead embroidery and I love paisleys.
What could be better for me than this tutorial on how to bead embroider Paisleys? ;-)
I tried it, but up until now they didn’t exactly look like I wanted them for. So I will try further.
(If you don’t know how to embroider beads, you may want to take a look at the Freeform Bead Embroidery article from yesterday.)

Freeform Bead Embroidery

Freeform Bead Embroidery

As I said before I really love freeform work.
I once even wrote a tutorial on freeform bead embroidery (in german).
First I show how to embroider beads (with explaining pictures).
Then I tell how to encase a piece of cardboard with your fabric to use as cheap alternative for an embroidery hoop (with explaining pictures too).
And in the end I show how to begin with your freeform embroidery (which for me is always the most difficult part) (with explaining pictures too).
The item on the picture is a bead embroidered button I once made.

Felting Soap

Felting Soap

I heard somewhere about felting soap and I asked myself why one should do this!
Then I found the tutorial on how to felt soap, tried it and really enjoyed it ;-)
It is not alone the process of felting, but later the washing of my hands with my felted soap felt wonderful too! So I didn’t give it away but kept it just for myself ;-)
It is gone now and I really should felt another.

Fabric from Plastic Bags

Fabric from Plastic Bags

What you see here ist a Makeup bag made entirely from plastic bag fabric that I found on craftster.org. The one who made the bag links to the tutorial on how to make sewable fabric from plastic bags.
Once I tried this technique but it didn’t work as supposed. I think I put my iron at a too high temperature. Or possibly the bags I tried to fuse were made from different plastics and therefore incompatible.
I will try it again – one day soon ;-)

Bead Crochet

Bead Crochet

I showed before a tutorial on crocheting bead ropes. These bead crochet instructions are different: this time you crochet something like a completely beaded fabric which you can use further for your projects. Use it e.g. for little purses.
