Chocolate Easter Surprise Egg

It’s not soo long until Easter anymore and you may want to practise a little bit. That’s why the next days will deal with very different easter eggs.
If easter eggs don’t really appeal to you, many of the decorations can also be applied to spheres ;-)

Today I’d like to present the chocolate Easter surprise egg, a stuffed chocolate egg in a real egg shell!
I’m very impressed.

Quick Hot Mint Chocolate

unikatissima Quick Hot Mint Chocolate

Recently I tried something that I really enjoyed: hot mint chocolate.
To this you heat the milk and stir in the mint coins* until they dissolved.
I used two pieces and it’s been rather sweet, but I think that depends on the used mint coins* and your taste ;-)

* mint coins are chocolate covered mint fondant fillings, a kind of After Eight Mints, but thicker and in the shape of a coin

By the way this hot mint chocolate goes wonderfully with this year’s lace knitter’s Advent calendar which starts today ;-))

Chocolate Advent Calendar

Amazon Dr Oetker Advent Calendar

Ok, it’s still some time until Advent, but you may want to practice a little before!?
I have seen this Advent Calendar mould for pralinées, where you cast in chocolate yourself.
Here you can already buy ready-made Advent calendars in the supermarkets, some are very inexpensive, why shouldn’t you take one of those, take away the cheap chocolate and fill again with the preferred chocolate of the addressee, e.g. dark chocolate?
I haven’t tried it yet, but I think that I will ;-)
