When there comes the time again where you can sit on your patio and dine with friends (ok, ok, it will still take some time, but a woman can dream ;-)), the candle lit photo stands can make a romantic atmosphere.
In the instruction they print their own photos on vellum and glue them on, I preferred my favourite gift wrap.
Besides you should also be able to use the topmost layer of the used paper napkins (possibly glued on vellum), then everything matches even better.

The instruction on how to make a poor man side flash is really great!
I just made a very quick try. On the left photo you see an indirectly flashed glass and on the right photo a directly flashed glass.
I find the result convincing, especially because I 1. didn’t pay anything for it and it was 2. a very, very quick try!
(The more so as you don’t see so good at the indirectly flashed glass that I didn’t dried the glass too well at the last washing up ;-)))
This indirect flashing is similar to my entry Taking Photos from Jewelry.

Another great idea: to make a fisheye lens for your camera with old glasses!
Because I had no suitable glasses I cheated just a little bit by creating the fisheye effect with my graphics program.

A lenticular image is an image that looks different depending on how you look at it.

This way you can surely make beautiful pictures, but sometimes it pays to practice a little bit beforehand ;-)
When preparing this entry it crossed my mind that I once photographed Christmas glass ornaments so that fractal patterns resulted.
I even found back the blog entry where I got the idea from :)
