DIY Photo Silhouette T-Shirt

inhabitots Customized Silhouette T-Shirt

I find the idea to make a photo of your children, to make a silhouette stencil from the photo and then to print it on a t-shirt great – but a too narrow approach ;-):
Why not making a t-shirt with your own name in Japanese?
Or using the silhouette of a well known building (i.e. the Eiffelturm)?
And why only on a t-shirt, why not on a linen bag, a greeting card or quite large on the wall?
And why as a stencil, why not simply as a self-cut stamp?
Or as fabric appliqué?

Well, I really must think about what else can be done this way ;-)
If you have a good idea I’d be happy if you commented about (if not, I’d be happy about a comment, too ;-)).

Your name in Japanese

Note: I wrote an entry about your name in Japanese but I rescheduled it thoughtlessly to another date because of the World Wide Knit in Public Day 2009 (WWKiP Day).
I’m sorry, it will still take some days (I don’t dare to reschedule everything again ;-().

Now I can offer you the right link to your name in Japanese ;-)
But there you can see it: all hand-made ;-))

Aerial Image Greetings

Today there’s no tutorial, but I liked the aerial image greetings so much that I wanted to share.

Click on the picture to enlarge and to see better what this is about.

But the picture is only the result, the whole message is revealed letter by letter.

Have fun sending love to good friends!

Candle Lit Photo Stands

When there comes the time again where you can sit on your patio and dine with friends (ok, ok, it will still take some time, but a woman can dream ;-)), the candle lit photo stands can make a romantic atmosphere.
In the instruction they print their own photos on vellum and glue them on, I preferred my favourite gift wrap.
Besides you should also be able to use the topmost layer of the used paper napkins (possibly glued on vellum), then everything matches even better.

Say It With Photos

It’s not long anymore until Valentin’s Day. If you don’t know how best to show your love to your sweetheart let you inspire by the article ‘Valentine’s Day Photo Ideas’ at photojojo.

I just begun with taking a photo from my glass heart, perhaps I’ll make photos from me and my friend and give him the three pictures as message.
Perhaps I won’t ;-)))

Poor Man Side Flash

The instruction on how to make a poor man side flash is really great!
I just made a very quick try. On the left photo you see an indirectly flashed glass and on the right photo a directly flashed glass.
I find the result convincing, especially because I 1. didn’t pay anything for it and it was 2. a very, very quick try!
(The more so as you don’t see so good at the indirectly flashed glass that I didn’t dried the glass too well at the last washing up ;-)))
This indirect flashing is similar to my entry Taking Photos from Jewelry.

I found a Japanese website (translated) where you can download photo frames to be printed and fold by yourself. Some look really nice, I find.

DIY Fisheye Lens

unikatissima DIY Fisheye Lens

Another great idea: to make a fisheye lens for your camera with old glasses!
Because I had no suitable glasses I cheated just a little bit by creating the fisheye effect with my graphics program.

But one day…
;-)
