Unorthodox Appliqué

quilterbydesign Unorthodox Applique

I don’t quilt, although it’s hard for me not just to try it out. I simply don’t have the place.
Anyhow I found this very simple way to make heart appliqués very simple way to make heart appliqués inspirational.
Perhaps just one try…?
At least a little bit?
;-))
By the way, I don’t find the stamped appliqués very orthodox, too ;-)

Christmas Snow Flower Quilt

Freespirit fabric Christmas Snow Flower Quilt

Well, I guess that it’s too late now to finish the Christmas Snow Flower Quilt before Christmas, but 1. you can’t begin too soon when quilting (and in a manner of speaking it’s close to Christmas 2010 ;-)) and 2. they have much more patterns on the page not only holiday patterns :)

Rolling Pin Prints II

Louise Schiele Rolling Pin Prints

I wrote already an entry about rolling pin prints, even so I find this instruction interesting, too.
As she says: you can use it easily to design your own gift wrap and it won’t take long until you possibly need some gift wrap ;-))

Paper Napkin Pillow

favecrafts Paper Napkin Pillow

I’m always impressed by all the great ideas out there: This time it’s about sewing yourself a pillow from paper napkins matching your home furnishings!
Seen like this it would be great for a picnic or similar, too: you can take pillows with you that match the other napkins ;-)
She said that the pillows are amazingly strong, somewhen I really have to try this ;-))
