I find that the onion skin dyed Easter eggs look wonderful and it doesn’t seem too hard to make them :)

Ok, it’s no sand, but chalk coloured salt, but the jars are wonderfully colourful, aren’t they? ;-)

via: Make colored sand art by stirring a chalk stick in a bowl of salt…it changes the color! Stir less for light color and more for dark richer color. Awesome!!! I love this stuff!
I still have a looot of rather dried out felt pens laying around – at last I know now what to do with them: coloured inks :)
