You see soaps on the photo, aren’t they stunning?
I have never poured soaps until now and actually I don’t want to try it (I think that it is muuuch fun, but I simply don’t know anymore where to put my stuff ;-)).
This instruction for a Goldfish in a Bag could perhaps weaken my resoluteness ;-))

Once I found a great blog entry where somebody showed how she’s working her stash and scrap yarns into a scarf. Unfortunately I don’t find the entry back ;-(
In principle she sorted her stash according to colours (her example was made in blues) and from each yarn she crocheted a long row, every row even in another crochet stitch.
I hope that the photos are a help.
I found the result so stunning that I made a birthday gift for a good friend from it ;-)
By the way, this can surely be done in knitting, too!?
I found a tutorial on how to make cute, fast, self-made packages. They are self painted, respectively self stamped boxes like the recycled card pillow box I presented some time ago.
Concerning the stamping I even found an instruction on how to mass produce greeting cards (it is no real mass production, but she’s making a good many beautiful greeting cards ;-))
I had no reason yet to make this, but it is not soo long until Christmas ;-))
On the photo I already arranged my (for a good deal self carved) stamps ;-)

After the duct tape wallet and the tetrapak coin purse I’d like to present today an ingenious tutorial on how to fold a paper wallet.
On the photo you see one of my test wallets, folded from an official envelope with window and blue patterned lining.
Envelopes are unfortunately too narrow, I can’t put in an unfolded bank note, but it was fun to fold ;-)
I folded others from DIN A4 paper covered in gift wrapping and I really like the size.
One has got a little pocket glued on, another got its sides glued together. One has been covered in self-adhesive book foil, another has been glued after been covered in transparent gift wrapping.
All work fine and seem to be robust (the author of the tutorial writes about this aspect, too).
The only thing I miss is a ‘real’ coin purse with closure.
But the best is: the folding is done in no time ;-))
It is e.g. a wonderful wrapping if you want to give money.
Es wäre z.B. eine tolle Verpackung für ein Geldgeschenk.

I heard lots about working with resin but up until now I always was kind of reluctant to start with.
When I found the tutorial on making resin pendants I felt a certain urge to begin with ;-)

Once a found an instruction on how to work an african necklace using needle weaving (also called ‘pin weaving’). It’s a weaving technique that allows to easily create strange shaped fabrics and to incorporate beads into.
Stunning!
I played around with this technique and thought that it could as well be used for little bags, for bracelets and so forth.
Unfortunately it’s a technique that requires a lot patience – which I don’t have. ;-)
I’d love to hear what you think about!
I like yoyo’s, but only recently I tried to make one. And I find it cute.
It is made from shiny polyester fabric and embellished with a little crocheted flower and some embroidered beads (I hate to have polyester on my skin, but I like it for pins and the like, because it is so shiny).

Once I found instructions on how to make a nail file envelope, which I embraced, because me too, I never have such a file when I need it and I don’t like to search ‘free’ nail files in the depths of my bag.
I’m not much of a stamper (although I would like to be ;-)), so I made them with my own with markers and a little moist coloured tissue papers, I collaged them from magazines and I made them from doodled coffee-dyed newspaper (see second photo).
Because I own 5 cm wide clear packaging tape (a little less than 2 inches), I made the envelopes slender enough to cover them completely with the tape. This way they are sturdier and more robust in the depths of my bag ;-)
The nail file envelopes are a lot of fun to make and a very good giveaway at nearly everybody. Even men took them voluntarily! ;-)
Most fun for everybody is, when I present the whole range of my nail file envelopes and everybody can select their own.
